 Avanti FC was founded in 1995 in
Woodland Hills, California by a visionary who lived and first ran the team right out
of his small car that was coincidentally an "AVANTI" roadster.
The name means "onward" in Italian, and proved to be appropriate for this forward
thinking team. Since then, the team has travelled far from home, having participated
in tournaments in Las Vegas, Santa Barbara, San Diego, and in leagues all over Los
Angeles.
Along the way, they have collected a diverse group of players hailing from such
places as Chile, Israel, Mexico, Costa Rica, Iran, the US, and Algeria.
The team continues to strive onward and upward in the many soccer tournaments and
leagues in the city of Los Angeles.

- Avanti will participate in Las Vegas Soccer in the Sun tournament in January 2010.
- Avanti will participate in the ZAMA 7vs7 soccer tournament December 2009.
- Avanti will participate in the International cup of Iran in September 7th, 2009.
